About Us                 

“About Mull Tours & Taxi” is our new name – we used to be “Mull & Iona Taxi” but we are now offering more Tours and About Mull better describes what we do -  we transport you “about mull” and we tell you “about mull”.

 So, who are we? David and Janna, living in Bunessan in the beautiful Ross of Mull – we think the view from our kitchen window is one of the best on the island - it includes Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, and we see some fantastic sunsets, especially on those long summer evenings. We keep a dog and two cats, plus hens, a goat and some Hebridean sheep.

Tours are run by David, who has lived in Mull since 1973. His great love of the area and its wildlife started when his family came here in 1962 for the first of many holidays on the neighbouring island of Erraid (made famous by R.L. Stevenson in his book  “Kidnapped”). 

Since moving to the Ross of Mull permanently, David has worked at various jobs including the post round, fishing, driving timber lorries and also as a bus driver/guide for Bowman’s Coaches, the local bus company. 

Then in 2003 he set up the taxi business, offering tours of a more personalised nature. Drawing on his 45 years’ experience of Mull, and his qualification as a tour guide, he tries to mix seeing wildlife in its natural habitat with some of the stories and views that add colour to this beautiful island’s history and culture.
