Getting to Mull
Where is Mull?
On the West Coast of Scotland – Oban is the nearest town on
the mainland.

Plane:
nearest airports - Glasgow International and Prestwick
Train:
Trains from Glasgow to Oban 3 times a day, the first 2
connect with a ferry to Mull www.nationalrail.co.uk

Or take the sleeper from London to Fort William

Car: If coming via Oban by car you should book
your ferry space in advance (this is free)

Ferry:
however you travel you will need to cross to Mull by ferry.
The main route is Oban-Craignure, which is a 40-minute
crossing on a big comfortable vessel with cafeteria and bar.
If travelling by car you can choose from 2 other routes –
Lochaline-Fishnish (good from the North), or for a scenic
but longwinded route, Kilchoan-Tobermory. All ferries run by

If you are coming on one of our custom tours, park the car in Oban
and travel as a foot passenger.
