The wildlife tour with a difference! from £25.

We combine our search for Mull’s wildlife with a great day out surrounded by beautiful scenery visiting some of those special places in South and Central Mull that only insiders know about.

  • Golden Eagles

  • Deer

  • Sea Eagles (White-tailed Eagles)

  • Otters

PLUS much more wildlife besides, including seals, herons, buzzards, even hairy cows!, which are all common sights in Mull.

We guarantee that we will see some of the following (depending on route taken):

  • Castles

  • Standing Stones

  • Stone Circles

  • Ancient Settlements

ALL accompanied by tales of Mull life past & present.

David is a qualified tour guide and has lived in Mull for over 35 years, gaining an insight into Mull’s wildlife, folklore and way of life.

The route varies day to day according to the weather, pick-up spots and the abilities and interests of those taking the tour. We will always try to accommodate any particular interests.

Price for full day tour in 2010 : £35 per person (pick-up anywhere in the Ross of Mull)

finish 4.45pm Bunessan: 5.00pm Fionnphort

Shorter Tours during local school term-time, and at other times by arrangement: £25 per person

finish 2.45pm Bunessan; 3.00pm Fionnphort

We can run a tour with a minimum of 2 persons

We suggest that you bring your own lunch, but if this is difficult, provision can be made to supply sandwiches. Please ask. Complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits are included.

Special Day Tour including Visit to Iona: £35 per person

For a varied day out packed with new experiences - take our new special day tour. The first part of the day is as above, then we drop you at the Iona Ferry at 3pm (ferry crossing 5 minutes) giving you time to explore Iona at its best, after the day-tripper crowds have left. We will meet you off the 6pm ferry to return you to your pick-up point.

Pick-ups:

  • Fionnphort (Iona Ferry) 10am

  • Bunessan 9.45am

  • Pennyghael time to be arranged

We can usually arrange to collect you at your accommodation if you are staying in the Ross of Mull.

Non-Standard Tours

If you are here without transport, for a memorable last day, why not have us collect you at the Iona ferry or your accommodation in Mull, and deliver you with all your luggage at Craignure terminal.                             Price and availability on application.

If it's not convenient for you to meet the minibus at one of our pick-up points, subject to availability you can book a tour from Craignure.

What to bring: sturdy boots, waterproof clothing, binoculars (if you have them), camera

We provide: a limited number of binoculars, telescope

Tours are run throughout the year and wet weather does not mean a wash-out! Eagle chicks still need to be fed, for example.
